To distinguish the mainland form from the Taiwan form, we have used the seed cultivar name Rohdea 'Green Panda'. For us, Rohdea 'Green Panda' makes a much larger clump than typical Rohdea japonica, quickly reaching 2'+ tall x 3' wide. The narrow, glossy, evergreen leaves compose a slowly offsetting clump, adorned in late April (NC) with short spikes of pine
