They stood in direct opposition to the DC scene at the time, being vocal about their distaste for the punk scene even though their music and appearance, and the way they operated the band, could be mistaken for punk. They operated their own label which was just called No Trend and released their own music, including 1983's Teen Love EP and 1984's Too Many
