A very subtle hint of wood frames the restrained

The finish is soft and luscious

this is one to strongly consider

As such my rating is a compromise as I suspect that this will develop even better complexity with age and thus even if the balance isn’t perfect

incense and orange peel are all very much alive in the glass

Giuseppe Mascarello, Barolo Villero Vintage:2011 A very subtle hint ofModerately saturated medium red. Perfumed aromas of cherry, strawberry, coffee, mocha and flowers. Rich, suave and concentrated; nicely horizontal on the palate, but with its flesh cut byt slightly spiky acidity. The broad finish features dusty tannins and lovely floral persistence. Seems a tad rustic today and in need of patience. Stephen Tanzer
