Photographed at a large working ranch in New Mexico
I knew that I would have to film inside - it was effectively a microcosm of the original wild west - the centre piece being a pool table that looked as if it belonged to the gold rush era
Stone with setting is about 3/4" long
More importantly it is not well regulated - this makes it an ideal location for my approach to immersive photography - which leans on transgressive practices such as getting close to danger
