18th Century Miniature hard stone Cherub Brooch, "Grieve Not But Trust In Almighty God" space age The serpent guards a naturalDATE: Georgian, c. 1750 A gorgeous 18th Century memorial brooch. This one features a little cherub, grasping onto a small locket, which dangles below, containing a lock of blonde hair. The front of the locket is hand painted with "Grieve Not But Trust In Almighty God". Maybe the owner of this needed the belief of the almighty God, with his power to help grieve their sudden loss, or even to assure their loved one will go to heaven. The cherub itself is
