We have done a video changing the headlight glass on the Discovery 3 and its actually quite easy as the adhesive softens at around 50 Deg C ( see below video )

Disconnect your battery +ve lead (in the engine bay) before fitting the loom to the vehicle - this makes it less likely for power surges that could damage car circuits when plugging / unplugging the overhead console
